    American Red Cross hosting multiple blood drives across Inland Northwest in response to Hurricane Helene impact

    SPOKANE, Wash. -- The American Red Cross is hosting blood donation opportunities in the Inland Northwest due to the impact of Hurricane Helene.

    The Red Cross said thousands of blood and platelet donations had to go uncollected after the storm made landfall on September 26. Donors across the United States, including Washington and Idaho, are encouraged to make an appointment and help keep the blood supply stable.

    Anyone who donates blood, platelets or plasma in October will receive a $10 Amazon gift card and be automatically entered for a chance to win one of three $5,000 gift cards. For more information on the giveaway, click here.

    Upcoming blood donation opportunities in the Inland Northwest are listed below:

    Latah County, Idaho

    • October 15 at St. Marks Episcopal Church from 11:45 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., 111 S Jefferson Street, Moscow
    • October 16 at St. Marks Episcopal Church from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., 111 S Jefferson Street, Moscow
    • October 23 at Troy Lions Hall from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., 415 S Main Street, Troy
    • October 30 at Best Western Plus University Inn from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 1516 W Pullman Road, Moscow

    Spokane County, Washington

    • October 23 at Saint George's School from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 2929 W Waikiki Road, Spokane
    • October 24 at Woman's Club of Spokane from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., 1428 W 9th Avenue, Spokane

    Whitman County, Washington

    • October 9 at Alpha Phi Beta Rho from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., 849 NE California Street, Pullman
    • October 22 at Palouse Community Center from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., 220 Main Street, Palouse

    Asotin County, Washington

    • October 18 at Asotin County Library from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., 417 Sycamore Street, Clarkston
