SPOKANE, Wash. -- Three people, including a 17-year-old, were arrested for trying to burglarize Pull and Save Auto Parts in Mead Monday.

According to the Spokane County Sheriff's Office, a call came in about a possible burglary in progress around 8:30 p.m. Monday night. The business's security company said it saw a man looking under vehicles inside the fenced area and a second suspect just outside the fence.

Deputies found a car parked near the location. The driver, 18-year-old Lauryn S. McIntosh, said she was out of gas and waiting for her mom. SCSO said there were two dirty tires in the back of the car. McIntosh said she had them for a few days and did not know anything about someone potentially being inside Pull and Save.

The deputy asked McIntosh to turn on the car and said the tank was about halfway full. McIntosh was then detained.

SCSO said a few minutes later, 28-year-old Alex J. Straub was seen hiding behind a tree near McIntosh's car. Straub gave the name of a third suspect, a 17-year-old, but didn't know where he was.

SCSO said there were multiple headlights on the ground near Straub. There were also two tires nearby that were the same as the tires in the back of McIntosh's car.

The 17-year-old was found lying on the ground next to the fence. SCSO said the teen explained he was sleeping while he waited for McIntosh to pick him up.

McIntosh, Straub and the 17-year-old suspect were all charged with burglary, malicious mischief and criminal conspiracy. McIntosh and Straub were booked into Spokane County Jail while the teen was sent to Spokane County Juvenile Detention Center.
