    El Pomar Foundation names new VP of Leadership & Fellowship

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — El Pomar Foundation welcomed its newest Vice President of Leadership & Fellowship Officer on Monday, June 3.

    The foundation announced on Friday, June 7 that Heather Kelley had joined their team earlier this week. She will be responsible for managing a portfolio of El Pomar’s leadership programs, including the 33-year-old flagship fellowship program, Internship, and Penrose Organizational and Professional Leadership Experience (PeOPLE) program.

    “I look forward to this unique opportunity helping guide and shape leadership with the Fellows as early career professionals and with other leaders across Colorado,” Kelley said. “I’m excited to promote and foster leadership practices that improve the well-being of all Coloradans.”

    Kelley comes from Colorado College where she provided mentorship, coaching, and career consulting to graduates and alumni. Before her work at the college, she led a career exploration program for Eagle County Schools.

    “We are proud to welcome Heather to El Pomar and look forward to benefitting from her expertise and insight,” said Kyle Hybl, El Pomar President & CEO.

    Heather Kelly succeeds Joan Shields who held the position since 2020, Shields has retired from the foundation to resume her independent consulting practice.
