(COLORADO SPRINGS) — As the first day of school ushers students back into the classroom, Christmas Unlimited is working to make sure academics have what they need to find success.

“We service every school in the Pikes Peak region,” Mike Tapia with Christmas Unlimited said. “And every school is really in need.”

The biggest need for donations is washable and dry-erase markers.

Donations can be made at Safeway locations in Colorado Springs starting August 28th, ChristmasUnlimited.org , or at local fire stations.

“It’s a great opportunity for us to give back to the community,” Lt. Dean Minneman of the Colorado Springs Fire Department said.

There are 23 fire stations inside the city limits. “Every fire station will have a donation box.”
