(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) is asking the public to avoid a crash scene in the Knob Hill area after several people had to be freed from the wreckage and taken to the hospital.

CSFD posted about the crash shortly before 8:45 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 26, and said crews were responding to the intersection of East Monument Street and Bennett Avenue in Knob Hill due to a crash that left several people trapped in the vehicles.

CSFD said the people had been freed by rescue crews and taken to the hospital, though the extent of their injuries was not disclosed at the time.

CSFD said several roads are closed in the vicinity of the crash scene, and asked the public to avoid the area due to multiple fire units on scene.

At least it happened in the city while they still had their training wheels on. I'd hate to see them get let lose on higher speed roads.
