(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — The Mountain Post will be hosting its 14th annual Dog Splash on Saturday, Sept. 7 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event marks the end of the summer outdoor pool season for Fort Carson families. Soldiers, family members, and all other Department of Defense ID cardholders can bring in their dogs to enjoy a dip in the pool before it is drained for the coming cooler weather and seasons.

“We’re very excited to welcome members of the Fort Carson community and their four-legged friends to help us close out the summer pool season,” said Jacob Goulette, Fort Carson Aquatic Program Manager. “Come cool off with us and enter for a chance to win some pawesome prizes.”

Participation in the Dog Splash is $3 per dog, all pets will receive one raffle ticket upon entry. Raffle prizes include dog beds, treats, and rope toys.

Owners will also need to show proof of current rabies and distemper parvo vaccinations for all pets. Fort Carson veterinarian personnel will be onsite to assist with vaccination verification. The event is open to all dogs.
