    (COLORADO SPRINGS) —The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) announced the suspect was taken into custody on Tuesday evening, Sept. 3.

    At approximately 7:35 p.m., CSPD reported via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the suspect was arrested. The shelter in place has been lifted.

    The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported a barricaded suspect and has ordered a shelter-in-place near Memorial Park on Tuesday, Sept. 3, as of 5 p.m.

    CSPD reported via X (formerly known as Twitter), that officers were responding to a barricaded suspect situation in the 100 block of Lawrence Avenue, near Knob Hill neighborhood.

    Police have issued a shelter-in-place for the immediate area. Community members are asked to stay indoors and lock their doors and windows.

    CSPD is asking individuals to avoid the area until police activity has concluded.
