(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a domestic violence incident was responsible for multiple crashes in the early morning hours of Tuesday, Sept. 3.

According to CSPD, on Tuesday a little before 8 a.m. police got a call for an in-progress domestic violence incident. The caller told police they were being followed in their vehicle while being threatened to be killed by their ex who was driving in another vehicle. The caller was directed to the Colorado Springs Operations Center and met by officers. The suspect left the area before the caller made contact with police.

While the suspect was chasing the caller, they smashed out multiple windows of the caller’s vehicle with a steel rebar pipe and as a result of the caller trying to escape the suspect, multiple crashes happened. CSPD said there were no reported injuries from the crashes.
