(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Friday, Sept. 13 the City of Colorado Springs is offering a free workshop for renters.

On Friday at the Silver Key Senior Services located at 1625 South Murray Boulevard from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The event is part of the Renter Rights 101 workshop series for 2024 produced in collaboration with Colorado Legal Services, the Pikes Peak Library District, The Justice Center, Colorado Housing Connects, the Independence Center, Silver Key, the Community Economic Defense Project, and the City of Colorado Springs Housing and Community Vitality Department.

Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert will help attendees learn about a variety of topics related to renting and the basics of leasing. The City said presenters cannot provide legal advice for individual situations.

More details about the workshop can be found on the City’s website. The City said event registration is optional and allows attendees to get a copy of the slides and event recording.
