(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The City and County of Pueblo are applying for a grant to buy new law enforcement technology and equipment and held a public meeting to discuss with the public the plans for the grant.

The “Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant” is offered to police departments to help efforts to reduce crime violence, improve public safety, and more.

Pueblo Police Department (PPD) said its department is looking to use the grant money for computer equipment and other I.T. needs.

The award period begins in October with over $3 million to be awarded.
