(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) says an 11-month-old is missing after the mother violated a court order and left with the child following a goodbye meeting with the father.

According to CSPD, officers responded to the Texas Roadhouse at 3100 North Powers Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, for a possible court order violation. Police said the mother had requested to meet the father and child at the restaurant to say goodbye before leaving the state. Despite a protection order in place from a previous domestic violence incident, the father agreed to the meeting.

When the father stepped out to get a diaper bag, the mother allegedly took the child and left. Police said attempts to contact the mother were unsuccessful.

Their location is currently unknown, and a missing persons report was filed for both the mother and child. An arrest warrant was issued for the mother for violating the protection order. It’s unclear if she left the state, but police are trying to locate them.
