(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Military moms and moms-to-be were welcomed to Weidner Field on Wednesday, Sept. 25 for a baby shower courtesy of PepsiCo and Operation Shower.

Operation Shower’s founder Leann Morrissey said in the military, the family of service members serve too, and the impending arrival of a child can be both exciting and stressful, especially for women whose partners are deployed.

The shower’s theme was the “Most Magical Shower on Earth,” and all the moms went home with high-quality products donated by generous companies like Delta Children, Diaper Genie, Angel Care, and Phil Long Ford.

“We love to bring them together and celebrate them, for their babies on the way, to provide them some wonderful new items to get them started and relieve some of that burden,” said Leann Morrissey, Chief Shower Officer of Operation Shower. “And just to be able to celebrate them and say thank you in person, and we love what they do and appreciate their service for our country.”
