(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) arrested a minor on Thursday morning, Sept. 26 for robbery and felony menacing.

According to CSPD, officers responded to the area of 2300 East Boulder Street, near Platte Avenue, around 5:45 a.m. regarding a family disturbance. When they arrived, officers found a minor had robbed someone with a gun and left the scene.

The investigation led to an address in the 500 block of Prairie Road in Knob Hill, where officers believed the suspect was hiding. CSPD said officers set up containment outside the home and used resources to encourage the suspect to surrender peacefully, and the suspect was taken into custody.

CSPD said evidence recovered from the scene linked the minor to the robbery investigation.

The minor was transported to a juvenile detention facility and booked on charges that included robbery and felony menacing.
