(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs announced on Monday, Sept. 30, that the El Paso Street Bridge over Platte Avenue will be removed due to irreparable damage. The project is set to take place from October 12 through 15.

During the work, Platte will be closed between North Wahsatch Avenue and North Hancock Avenue. The image below shows the detours that will be in place during that time. According to the city, access to homes in the area will be maintained during the project.

According to Mountain Metropolitan Transit (MMT), there are no routes that go under the bridge on Platte, so the closure should not cause any delays or route changes for city buses.
