(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A man who was taken to the hospital following an early morning house fire in Colorado Springs on Monday, Oct. 7 was found to have a felony warrant, according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD).

According to CSPD, officers traveling on Chelton Road noticed a large house fire in the 3500 block of Darkwood Place in southeast Colorado Springs shortly after 4 a.m. on Monday. When officers arrived at the home, they found a man in the backyard who was unresponsive.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) responded and found smoke coming from multiple sides of the home.
