(PUEBLO, Colo.) — UCHealth Parkview Medical Center was awarded the Clinical Site of the Year Award by Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science , which UCHealth Parkview said placed it among the top five clinical sites out of 70 nationwide.

According to UCHealth Parkview, the award highlights the significant role UCHealth Parkview plays in supporting the hands-on clinical education of SRNA students from Rosalind Franklin University, a private graduate school in Chicago.

“We are proud to recognize Parkview as one of five sites selected by our nurse anesthesia program for outstanding support and clinical education. Clearly, the student perspectives indicate that the culture is welcoming, the access to a wide variety of cases is outstanding, and the learning is without boundaries,” said Lisa Hopp, interim dean of Rosalind Franklin University College of Nursing.

UCHealth Parkview said students gain exposure to a broad range of complex cases and specialties during their rotation giving graduates the skills and confidence needed to excel in their careers.

“We are deeply honored to be recognized by Rosalind Franklin University with this award,” said Dr. James Caldwell, chief medical officer for UCHealth Parkview. “We are committed to providing our students with a rich, immersive clinical experience. Our SRNA program not only supports the educational journey of these students but also strengthens the future of certified registered nurse anesthetists in our community.”
