(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) is asking the community for help identifying and locating a suspect who allegedly sexually touched a person and tried to kidnap them at Stratmoor Valley Park and Trailhead on Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 9.

According to EPSO, an unknown suspect is wanted for Unlawful Sexual Contact and Attempted Kidnapping, in connection to an incident that occurred at the Stratmoor Valley park around 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, and involved an adult man in his 20s or 30s.

The suspect is described as having tan skin and black hair, possibly worn in a low bun, and chin hair. The suspect wore a red tank top and khaki shorts, and was seen leaving the area in a four-door older sedan, silver or light blue in color. The gas cap of the car was on the driver’s side, and the car had a white rust spot on the driver’s side back panel, large enough to see over the gas cap.

People with information on this incident, or who recognize the car or suspect’s description, are asked to contact the EPSO tip line at (719)520-7777.
