Authorities searching for escaped inmate

(FREMONT COUNTY, Colo.) — The Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) said it is looking for an inmate who escaped from the Arrowhead Correctional Center located in the East Canon Complex near Cañon City.

According to CDOC, the inmate identified as Leaf A. Glimpse was serving an eight-year sentence for burglary at the time of his escape. When the escape was discovered a search team was activated, law enforcement was notified and a search is underway.

Glimpse is described as a 34-year-old white man, 5’4″, 185 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. He was last seen wearing CDOC-issued green pants, a white t-shirt, and black boots with a tan sole. CDOC said if you see him do not approach and contact 911 to notify law enforcement.

The Office of the Inspector General is investigating the escape.
