    CSPD cruiser hit during traffic stop

    (COLORADO SPRINGS) — A Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) cruiser was hit while an officer was conducting a traffic stop on Thursday, Oct. 17, near South Circle Drive and Airport Road.

    According to CSPD, before the officer exited the vehicle during the traffic stop near the 600 block of S. Circle, the cruiser was hit by another vehicle that was traveling southbound on Circle in the same lane of traffic. No injuries were reported and no arrests were made. The cruiser was towed to a body shop to repair the damage.

    Recently, law enforcement released a reminder to the public that Colorado law requires drivers to slow down and move over when approaching a stationary vehicle, or a vehicle with flashing lights.
