(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a call from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) around 3 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, about a vehicle that had been hit by a train at the tracks crossing South Sierra Madre Street.

When officers arrived at the scene near South Nevada Avenue and I-25, they found an abandoned car that had been hit by the train. CSPD said it appeared that the driver had turned onto the tracks to drive on them and had gotten stuck, and when the train approached, the driver got out and ran away.

According to CSPD, officers found the driver, identified as Haleigh Micci, and arrested her for DUI. No one was injured in the incident.
