The San Francisco 49ers and All-Pro left tackle Trent Williams have agreed to a restructured three-year, $82.66 million deal, which includes a $48 million fully guaranteed and a $25.69 million signing bonus, effectively ending his holdout, ESPN 's Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday (September 3), re-sharing a post from Williams' agency, Elite Loyalty Sports, on his X account.

"Compensation update: 49ers are guaranteeing the next two years on Trent Williams contract, equating to $48 million, including the additon of $7.6 million in salary this season, per @eliteloyaltysp . Williams has three years remaining on his contract. He will make $27.65 million in cash this season, the most of any offensive lineman," Schefter wrote.

Williams, 36, has spent the past four seasons with the 49ers, having been acquired in a trade with the now-Washington Commanders in 2020. The former University of Oklahoma standout has started in 58 games and was selected as a first-team All-Pro during each of the past three seasons, as well as a Pro Bowler in each of the last four seasons, since being traded to San Francisco.

The 49ers had previously agreed to extensions with All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey in June and wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk last week. Williams also said he was inspired to come back to the team following news of rookie wide receiver Ricky Pearsall surving a shooting during an attempted robbery over the weekend.

"In my mind I'm like, 'Man I just want to get back, get around the team,'" Williams said on Tuesday via Sports Illustrated . "Ricky stood out to me because when I popped in for OTAs for about the 30 minutes I was here, he did go out of his way to come and introduce himself to me."

"For him to come up and kind of introduce [himself], and I just instantly felt this vibe and could just feel he's such a genuine person. So seeing that happen, I'm like 'Man I just want to get back ... and be there for the team," he added.
