Five SD communities receive Community Challenge grants
A-A-R-P has announced its 2024 Community Challenge grant recipients this week, including several in South Dakota. Nearly 4-million dollars is going out to about 350 organizations nationwide to fund quick-action projects to make communities more livable. South Dakota organizations have received a total of nearly 320-thousand dollars since 2017, supported by the state’s A-A-R-P chapter.

Fireworks Not Allowed At Belle Fourche Reservoir
The public is reminded that possessing, discharging, and using fireworks is strictly prohibited on all Bureau of Reclamation lands and water bodies. These areas consist of multiple reservoirs, surrounding lands, and campgrounds across the South Dakota. This includes Belle Fourche Reservoir lands, Rocky Point State Recreation Area, Belle Fourche Dam, and lands directly managed by the Bureau of Reclamation.

Rapid City leaders tour Dinosaur Park following accessibility renovations
