PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A Chester County man is accused of grooming and sexually assaulting two teenagers who he worked with at a fast food restaurant.

According to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office, 37-year-old Anthony Burns, of Spring City, used his status as an employee of an East Pikeland Township Burger King to groom his underage coworkers.

On two occasions, between December 2023 and February 2024, prosecutors said Burns snuck over to one victim’s house, climbed through her window and had sex with her.

Authorities said Burns sent explicit texts, including a sexual photo of himself, to another teenage coworker for more than a month. They said he also groped her while working at Burger King.

Burns faces a long list of charges, including statutory sexual assault and unlawful contact with minors.

“Teenagers should be able to participate in work-related activities without the fear of being subjected to this kind of behavior,” Chester County District Attorney Chris de Barrena-Sarobe said in a statement.

Burger King confirmed that Burns is no longer employed by the franchise.

He was arraigned in July and waived his preliminary hearing Thursday morning.

Anyone with additional information should contact Chester County detectives at 610-344-6866.
