Passenger killed in 3-car crash on Kelly Drive, police say

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was killed in a three-car crash on Kelly Drive Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Around 3:20 p.m., authorities said a black Nissan Altima was traveling southbound and attempted to make an illegal left turn onto Reservoir Drive.

As the Altima made the turn, it was struck by a white Nissan Rogue, causing the Altima to spin and crash into a BMW coming onto Kelly Drive.

A 41-year-old passenger in the Altima was taken to the hospital, where he died. He was later identified as Steven Tyree Moultrie.

The 45-year-old driver of the Altima was also taken to the hospital and treated for minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.

Kelly Drive was closed in both directions for several hours.

Police are still investigating the crash.
