GLOUCESTER CITY, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — Two children are critically injured and another person sustained minor injuries after a police chase Saturday night sent a car crashing into a house in Gloucester City.

According to authorities, police from Deptford Township pursued a stolen vehicle into Gloucester City and the chase ended when it crashed into a third vehicle along Morris Street, sending that car into a nearby house.

The 24-year-old driver of the third vehicle was injured and the seven and nine year-old passengers of the vehicle were also critically injured. All three were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police said the driver of the stolen vehicle, 32-year-old Joshua Chrismon of Mount Laurel, New Jersey, initially fled the scene of the crash, but he was apprehended by authorities.

Chrismon faces charges of reckless endangerment, assault by automobile, receiving stolen property, resisting arrest, eluding the police, criminal mischief and numerous motor vehicle infractions.

He was remanded to Camden County Jail pending an upcoming court appearance.
