Medical Report: Health and safety advice for Labor Day

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — National health organizations are sharing some critical health messages this Labor Day.

The CDC said it’s important to drive safely and take necessary precautions regarding food contamination at the barbecue.

Labor Day may be a day to celebrate workers, but the U.S. is seeing greater numbers of people fighting conditions like anxiety and depression. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health said the labor force needs greater support.

As we safely celebrate the holiday with family and friends, we should remember the struggles others face every day.
