PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A fire in an abandoned North Philadelphia row home Monday morning left a firefighter injured and nearly a dozen people displaced. Investigators said they have not ruled out arson.

It happened near North 22nd and Berks streets, less than a mile away from Temple University’s campus. Just before 5:30 a.m., fire crews arrived and found an abandoned row home in flames.

The fire spread to three other nearby properties, leaving at least 10 neighbors displaced.

Officials placed it under control around 6:20 a.m.

One firefighter was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

Officials said the incident is still under investigation, and they have not ruled out arson as a cause.
