PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police are searching for three carjacking suspects who crashed a stolen car into the front porch of a home in West Philadelphia while fleeing police early Tuesday morning, investigators said.

Police said it started around 5 a.m. Three armed men carjacked a Nissan Sentra near 67th Street and Woodland Avenue in Southwest Philadelphia. The owner of the car, who was not injured, called police, and they spotted the stolen vehicle near 58th Street and Hoffman Avenue.

Police chased the car for about a mile to Horton Street in West Philadelphia. Around 5:30 a.m., the Nissan Sentra slammed into a row home in the middle of Horton Street, between Callowhill and Vine streets.

The driver’s side of the car slammed into the right pillar and basement of the abandoned row home. The passenger side hit a black Honda that was parked in front of the home on the sidewalk.
