WEST PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Police and emergency services crews were on the scene at a construction site in West Philly on Friday afternoon after three men fell from a cherry picker approximately two stories high.

It happened just before 1 p.m. on Moravian Street, near 44th and Walnut.

Two of the men were transported to Penn Presbyterian Hospital in critical condition. One of them, who was 47-years-old, police said was pronounced dead at 12:59 p.m.

The other man was taken to Lankenau Hospital, where he remains in extremely critical condition.

Authorities continue to investigate at the construction site, looking into what caused the men to fall from the lift.
