Aramark workers vote for a strike at the Linc, joining workers at Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — As the Eagles kicked off their season in Brazil, Aramark food service workers at Lincoln Financial Field back in South Philly made it three of three arenas where workers have voted to authorize a strike amid ongoing negotiations with the company.

According to Unite Here Local 274, which represents workers at the Linc, Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center, 84% of workers at the Eagles home stadium voted to authorize a strike.

It comes a week after 83% of food service workers at Citizens Bank Park voted to authorize a strike , and six months after workers at the Wells Fargo Center did the same .

Unite Here Local 274 has been negotiating a new contract for workers with Aramark since December of 2023.

Tiffani Davis, a concession stand worker at the Linc, said the fight is over healthcare and livable wage.

“Hopefully we can walk out,” she said. “That’s what I want. I just want fair wages like I just want healthcare. I don’t wanna get three jobs to get a livable wage.”

She hopes the joint effort at all three stadiums in South Philly brings movement from Aramark. There are currently three different sets of worker regulations at each stadium, but there are hopes the new contract will cover all three with the same deal.

“We bring in your money, you know, we bring in your money. We love doing what we’re doing, but we want to be able to live,” said Davis, “We don't wanna just keep surviving. We want to live and we're the face of your company.”
