NORTH PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — After more than a year of negotiations, the administration at Temple University and its faculty union, Temple Association of University Professionals (TAUP), have tentatively agreed on a new five-year contract.

According to the union, the new deal would give all full-time employees a $10,000 raise, with three percent increases every year after. The union also said healthcare costs would not go up for any of its 2,300 members.

The previous agreement expired last October.

The new tentative agreement will now go to the union’s members for a final vote and then to Temple’s Board of Trustees for ratification.
