PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A fire forced residents out of their West Philadelphia apartment building Tuesday morning.

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at the Mount Carmel Garden apartment complex at 57th and Race streets. It was placed under control shortly thereafter.

Neighbors shared video with KYW Newsradio showing flames shooting out a first-floor window of a corner unit. The fire was contained to that section of the three-story complex.

There are no reported injuries and it appears that everyone in the building got out safely. Officials did not say how many residents were displaced, but the Salvation Army was onsite helping at least a few families.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
