PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Pennsylvania State Police are looking for the driver of a black pickup truck who was involved in a road rage incident that included gunfire and a crash. The investigation backed up traffic on a long stretch of I-95 northbound near Philadelphia International Airport for more than an hour on Tuesday morning.

Investigators say there was a conflict between the driver of a gold Oldsmobile sedan, and the driver of a black pickup truck towing a trailer. At around approximately 10:10 a.m., the Oldsmobile driver fired several rounds from a semi-automatic pistol toward the black pickup.

The Oldsmobile and the pickup truck continued north on I-95. At mile marker 16.2, both vehicles crashed, causing the Oldsmobile to hit a third vehicle, a Ford Escape, also traveling north on I-95.

State police say the Oldsmobile took major damage from the crash, but the pickup continued north on I-95. There were no injuries reported as a result of the shooting or the crash.

State police blocked off traffic due to their investigation. All northbound lanes were closed between exits 13 and 17 for more than an hour. Cars started to trickle by again starting around 12:20 p.m. All lanes are now open.

Investigators are looking for the black pickup truck from the incident. The driver was towing a trailer.

Anyone who has information about the vehicle involved or about the incident in general is asked to contact Pennsylvania State Police at 215-452-5216 and reference incident number PA2024-1242856.
