Pennsylvania Horticultural Society announces theme of 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Get your tickets for “Gardens of Tomorrow” today. The Pennsylvania Horticultural Society announced the futuristic motif as the theme of the 2025 Philadelphia Flower Show .

The event aims to explore how gardening can help “shape a better future.”

“‘Gardens of Tomorrow’ invites us to envision a future where our actions today nurture a healthier planet,” Seth Pearsoll, vice president and creative director of the Philadelphia Flower Show, said in a statement. “Through the simple act of gardening and planting trees, we plant seeds of hope for a greener future. The 2025 PHS Philadelphia Flower Show highlights the transformative power of plants and inspires us to create a beautiful, more resilient future together.”

PHS President Matt Rader added that the event “envisions a world where gardening is both a joyful hobby and a celebrated force for creating a healthier planet, society, and people.”

New this year is a thematic art series of digitally hybridized flowers, which uses historic photos and illustrations to hint at “what could sprout tomorrow with what we tend to today.”

Founded in 1829 by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Philadelphia Flower Show is the nation’s largest and the world’s longest-running horticultural event.

The 196th annual Philadelphia Flower Show will take place at the Pennsylvania Convention Center from March 1 to 9, 2025.
