PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — Philadelphia police released new surveillance photos in the hopes of identifying a man wanted for opening fire into a SEPTA bus last week and injuring a teenage boy.

It happened on the evening of Oct. 4 in the city’s Fairhill neighborhood. Investigators said a man wearing green and black Balenciaga sneakers and a black Supreme hoodie boarded a Route 60 bus at Frankford and Allegheny avenues around 6 p.m.

The shooting happened a short time later at Third Street and Allegheny Avenue. Investigators believe the gunman got off and then opened fire into the bus, striking a 17-year-old in the face.

He is now in stable condition.

SEPTA spokesperson Andrew Busch said 30 people were aboard the bus at the time, and solving this case is paramount.

“Getting pictures out of the individuals responsible helps us generate tips. They can help identify the individuals involved,” he said.

Detectives are also investigating a separate shooting Tuesday in Cobbs Creek, where three women aboard a Route G bus were wounded when someone fired toward the bus. Police have made no arrests in that case.
