    3-year-old boy critically injured after getting hit by car in Evesham

    EVESHAM, N.J. (KYW Newsradio) — A 3-year-old boy is in critical condition after police say he was hit by a car in South Jersey.

    It happened around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday in Evesham, at the intersection of Route 73 and Holtec Drive, near a Royal Farms location.

    Evesham police say the boy, from Lindenwold, was hit by a car headed southbound on Route 73. First responders performed life-saving efforts on the little boy and he was transported to the hospital.

    An 81-year-old man from Cherry Hill was behind the wheel of the car that hit him. Per investigators, the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with authorities. No charges have been issued at this time.

    Additional details on the crash were not released.
