PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) — A man was shot in the head by a stray bullet while watching TV inside his Southwest Philadelphia home on Thursday.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. near 62nd and Wheeler streets.

The victim’s mother told NBC10 that her 35-year-old son was in an enclosed porch area of the home when they heard gunshots outside.

Police said the bullet went through the man’s skin in the back of his head — just missing his brain. When officers arrived, the man was conscious and was able to walk and talk.

Investigators said the bullet came from a shootout 200 feet away.

The only way to try to stop these people who like to kill and give the police a law that they could use to stop this attack is one simple one. No one in the city of Philadelphia will be able to Carrie a firearm regardless of your reason. If you are caught with a fire arm. You will be charged with a fine of $25,000.00 dollars. If you use such a weapon of any kind on a person for any reasion. You will be hung by the neck till you are dead regardless of age color or sex. If no trees are available. Then, a hanging stand will be built to destroy this worthless individual. The hanging will be made public for all to see.
