HWY 361 on Padre Island shut down due to fatal car crash

A fatal car crash with "multiple vehicles and patients" occurred late Friday night on Padre Island, according to Nueces County ESD 2.

The accident took place near the 9300 block of HWY 361, and the road between HWY 361 and Access Road 3 is closed. Nueces County ESD 2 has told drivers to expect traffic delays.

CCPD confirmed that there was a fatality and multiple injuries for those involved.
