Floridians Will Get Another Grocery Option As A Speciality "Cheap" Grocer Expands Into The State

Although some Floridians are undoubtedly loyal to just one or a few grocery stores, some like the flexibility to shop around.

After all, with Florida being called an "inflation hotspot" by CNN in the summer of 2023, some may think it makes economic sense to shop around, not only to save money but also to have a larger selection.

Floridians have plenty of options from which to choose - from traditional options like Publix to warehouse clubs like Costco. And recently, Florida has gotten some specialty options like Presidente and Lotte Market.

And now, some Floridians will reportedly be getting yet one more option - as one more specialty grocer enters the Florida market.

About Compare Foods Supermarket: According to the company's website, it is a family-owned company that strives to offer "quality products, exceptional service, and low prices."

It was started by the Peña family in Queens, New York, and eventually expanded into other states.

In a "cheap grocery" thread on social media, some people nominated Compare Foods as a "cheap grocery" recommendation.

The Florida Expansion: According to The Orlando Business Journal, Florida is getting a location of this ethnic grocer in Kissimmee. Specifically, the upcoming Kissimmee Square Plaza will be getting a Burlington, a Hibbett Sports, and a Compare Foods Supermarket later this year.

The publication says that it "appears" that this location will be the grocer's first Florida store, but it could not confirm the same.
