Popular Coffee Chain That Reportedly Turns Some Employees Into "Wealthy Franchisees" Is Coming To FL

    2024-02-26

Although other countries prefer tea, many Americans clearly prefer coffee. And there's arguably much to like about this beverage. It offers a pick-me-up in the morning. Its warmth can feel like a cozy hug, and it offers antioxidants that some studies suggest may offer health benefits.

Floridians who want a coffee fix away from home have plenty of choices - with Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts among popular choices.

However, some Floridians will be getting an additional choice as a chain known for prioritizing its workers with franchising opportunities will be coming to the Sunshine State.

About Dutch Bros.: This business actually started out as a pushcart. Eventually, the business would grow and franchise - first in the Pacific Northwest and eventually throughout the country.

Although coffee is most definitely on the menu, the chain also serves smoothies, mochas, energy drinks, shakes, cocoa, and snacks.

Dutch Bros. is also known for its positive corporate culture. It offers full-time employees money toward their education, a 401K, paid time off (including parental leave,) vacation time, and full health insurance benefits with vision and dental.

In 2016, Forbes wrote about how Dutch Bros. is turning some of its employees into "wealthy franchisees" by selling franchises to people who have worked for the company for three years.

Travis Boersma, CEO of Dutch Bros. reportedly rejects the idea that the company is too generous with franchising, telling Forbes, in part:

"We're only here for so long, and I'm not going to take any of this with me..."

Dutch Bros. Is Coming To Florida: According to the Orlando Business Journal, Dutch Bros. will be opening two new locations in March of 2024 - one in Clermont and another in Davenport.

More central Florida locations are expected, but their exact locations will reportedly be announced at a later date.

Florida Feedback: Believe it or not, there are already Google reviews (5 stars) from Florida - even though the stores haven't opened. People are just expressing their excitement.

    A reviewer named Garrett wrote:

"Dutch bros is the best! I've Been to different locations in different states. Every stand had the same amazing service and the best coffee and drink options..."

The author is not affiliated with Dutch Bros. or any other restaurants.
