7 Non-Stop Flights Will Soon Be Offered From Lakeland's Linder International Airport - Starting $52

    2024-07-25

If you have lived in central Florida for a while, you may know that Lakeland Linder International Airport (LAL) was previously mostly used as an air cargo hub for Amazon Air, but not for commercial flights. However, that all changed in December of 2023 when LAL reached an agreement with Avelo Airlines to begin offering passenger services. And in June 2024, Avelo began flying non-stop out of Lakeland to and from Tweed-New Haven Airport and Orlando International Airport.

And now Floridians are getting seven more non-stop flights out of LAL - and Avelo is reportedly the only airline offering them non-stop. The airline will begin flying to and from the following destinations, beginning October 24, 2024:

    • Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) with tickets starting at $52.
    • Charlotte, North Carolina's Concord-Padgett Regional Airport (USA) with tickets starting at $52.
    • Hartford, Connecticut's Bradley International Airport (BDL) with tickets starting at $72.
    • Manchester-Boston Regional Airport in Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT) with tickets starting at $62.
    • Delaware's Wilmington Airport near Philadelphia (ILG)
    • New York's Greater Rochester International Airport (ROC) with tickets starting at $62.
    • San Juan, Puerto Rico's Luis Munoz Marin International Airport (SJU) with tickets starting at $89.

Note that the prices listed above are all one-way.

Avelo has reportedly decided to create a base out of Lakeland starting in October of 2024. The airline specializes in flying out of small cities and secondary markets.
