Two More Florida Red Lobster Stores Are Now Listed As "Closed" On The Company's Website

Late July of 2024 has not been kind to Florida businesses that rely upon customer spending habits to stay afloat. In the last week alone, I've written about 11 Florida Big Lots stores that were listed as "closing" on the company's website as well as Florida losing 18 Conn's stores. And although Florida has already lost some Red Lobster stores, it is reportedly going to lose two more.

Previous Florida Red Lobster Closures: In May of 2024, Red Lobster filed for bankruptcy. Shortly afterward, the company closed 99 restaurants in 28 states, including 17 in Florida as follows:

    • 2625 E. Busch Blvd., Tampa
    • 17021 Palm Pointe Drive, Tampa
    • 3552 E. Colonial Drive, Orlando
    • 8003 Golden Sky Lane, Orlando
    • 7373 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando
    • 13090 City Station Drive, Jacksonville
    • 416 Commerce Center Drive, Jacksonville
    • 8720 Baymeadows Road, Jacksonville
    • 340 W. SR 436, Altamonte Springs
    • 3162 S. Atlantic Ave., Daytona Beach Shores
    • 6910 W. Newberry Road, Gainesville
    • 3544 N.W. Federal Highway, Jensen Beach
    • 4010 W. Vine St., Kissimmee
    • 10500 E. Ulmerton Road, Largo
    • 10010 U.S. 441, Leesburg
    • 1750 W. 49th St., Hialeah
    • 20 Towne Center Circle, Sanford

The Newest Two Closures: Two new stores are showing up on Red Lobster's website as "closed" and the Sun.com has reported on the closures. They are located at:

    • 2475 S Highway 27, Clermont, FL 34711
    • 3830 Wedgewood Lane, The Villages, FL 32162

The Villages Red Lobster is somewhat well-received earning 4.2 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. While many complimented the food, some complained about wait times. A reviewer named Bartley had nice things to say, writing, in part:

"Came here for dinner with friends. We were not disappointed. The restaurant itself was clean and inviting...I ordered the Salmon New Orleans...My wife got the Parrot Island Coconut Shrimp. I tried that also. All our food tonight was delicious. We will definitely return!"

The author is not affiliated with Red Lobster or any other restaurants.
