Bausch + Lomb Opens 8,300 SF FL Office After CEO Billionaire Brent Saunders Buys $35 Mil. FL Estate

It's no secret that Florida has recently attracted billionaires (and their businesses) to the Sunshine State. I've reported on several billionaires who have moved their companies to Florida, including Ken Griffin, John Paulson, and Barry Sternlicht. And Sternlict's Starwood Capital building has a new tenant - Busch + Lomb - whose CEO bought a Florida mansion from Cher in 2023.

About Brent Saunders: Although Saunders is currently the CEO of Bausch + Lomb, he is involved in other companies and ventures, including being the Chairman of The Beauty Health Company and Roam. He also sits on the executive community of Mt. Sinai Medical Center.

In late 2023, Saunders purchased the former Miami Beach estate of Cher for $35.4 million. The Spanish-style home has six bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

The New Florida Office Built By Another Billionaire: A spokesperson from Bausch + Lomb recently confirmed to the South Florida Business Journal that the company moved into an 8,300 square feet office at South Florida's The Starwood Capital building.

Although Bausch + Lomb is headquartered in Bridgewater, New Jersey, the company reportedly would like to maintain "strategic office locations throughout the U.S.," and CEO Saunders spends a "significant" amount of time in the Miami office.

The Starwood Capital Building is the headquarters for billionaire Barry Sternlicht's Starwood Capital Group.

Employees for Bausch + Lomb give the existing Tampa office give it 3.8 out of 5 stars. While some mentioned good pay and benefits, one person said that they weren't offered full-time status after working with the company for years and didn't get any benefits or paid time off.
