Budget Air Providers Avelo Airlines and Breeze Airways Announce New Florida Flights

Recent data suggests that Florida's current population in 2024 is around 23,002,597. That makes many Floridians who may want or need to travel out of state. And Floridians are arguably lucky because there are plenty of budget airlines to choose from including Frontier, Allegiant, Jet Blue, Avelo, and Breeze. The last two have just announced new Florida flights from Sarasota-Bradenton and Daytona Beach. Let's have a look:

The New Avelo Airlines Flights: Beginning on November 23, 2024, Avelo Airlines will begin flying nonstop to and from Wilmington Airport in the Philadelphia /Delaware Valley region from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport.

This flight will take place on Boeing Next-Generation 737 aircraft on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Fort Myers reviews for this airline on Yelp are a bit mixed. Some complained about delays or additional charges, but some said the staff were kind and attentive.

The New Breeze Airways Flights: Breeze Airways will begin service to and from Daytona Beach International Airport to four destinations, as follows:

Daytona Beach: Beginning on November 14, 2024, Breeze will begin flying from/to Daytona Beach to Westchester County Airport in New York.

Beginning on February 13, 2025, the airline will begin flying from/to Daytona Beach to Raleigh-Durham International Airport in Morrisville, North Carolina, and to Bradley International Airport in Windsor Locks, Connecticut.

Finally, beginning on February 14, 2025, the airline will begin flying from/to Daytona Beach Rhode Island T. F. Green International Airport in Warwick, Rhode Island.

Sarasota - Bradenton: Breeze will also add flights to and from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport to Westchester County-New York, Akron-Canton, Ohio, Portland, Maine, Long Island-Islip, New York, Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina, and Richmond, Virginia. These flights begin on October 31, 2024.

Tampa reviews for Breeze on Yelp are also mixed. Again, there were complaints about delays and added charges, but some felt the airline was a good value and seamless trip.
