Floridians Who Like Kentucky Fried Chicken May Want To Know Some FL Stores Are Testing New Items

Floridians who want fried chicken that they don't have to cook themselves have plenty of options. From what has been named Florida's favorite fast food restaurant, Chick-fil-A, to the Publix deli, there are quite a few ooptions. However, Floridians in the Orlando area who enjoy Kentucky Fried Chicken might be interested in knowing that the chain will be testing some new items in this market - from new biscuits to wraps and sauce.

About Kentucky Fried Chicken: This longtime chain began with humble beginnings in the 1930s when Harland Sanders began serving fried chicken out of a service station. The cooking technique used in the original station is still used today. There are currently over 24,000 KFC stores around the world - 286 of which are in Florida.

One of the stores chosen for testing - a store located at 6041 S. Goldenrod Road, - receives 3.6 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Many complaints were about customer service. However, some had nice things to say, like Nellie, who wrote:

"Enjoyed the $20.00 deal. It consisted of 6 chicken parts, 4 individual sides, and 4 biscuits. It was delicious. Also, the service was pretty fast. Very clean, pleasant atmosphere."

What Floridians Will Be Testing: Floridians in the Orlando market will be testing new biscuits that are slathered with butter both before and after cooking, classic and spicy wraps, a new zesty comeback sauce, a simplified menu, and a new interior that is intended to be "more Instagrammable."

The Orlando market was chosen because many stores there are corporate-owned. This is unusual as 99% of KFC's are owned by franchisees.
