Florida-Based Publix Introduces Several New Flavors Of Milk-Based Cakes

Some Floridians know that there are some items that Florida-based Publix is known for. One is "Pub Subs." Another is iced tea. One other example is ice cream. And finally, there are Publix's cakes. According to Eat This Not That, the cake selection at Publix is "beyond compare."

And now, Floridians will have more cake selections from which to choose. Let's have a look:

What's So Special About A Milk-Based Cake?: Before I go over the new flavors, I want to clarify what might be unique about a milk-based cake, since the new Publix cake options are milk-based.

According to Tasting Table, cakes such as tres leches cake benefit from the addition of milk soaked into the cake with an end product that is light, moist, creamy, and rich.

The New Publix Milk Cake Flavors: In early September of 2024, Publix introduced the following new flavors:

Strawberry Dulce de Leche: This cake is infused with vanilla milk and features a whipped topping that is sprinkled with fresh strawberries and a toasted almond border.

Cinnamon Celebration: Those who love cinnamon and chocolate together may love this vanilla milk-infused cake. Cinnamon comes into play with a cinnamon Chantilly cream topping garnished with strawberries and white chocolate pieces.

Tropical Delight: Those who want to venture outside of strawberry-only toppings may like this option which starts with a vanilla milk-infused cake and vanilla frosting, but the garnish is kiwi and peaches plus strawberries and almonds.

Chocolate Strawberry: This is a triple chocolate option that begins with a vanilla milk-infused cake and is then topped with chocolate whip garnished with a ganache drizzle, chocolate pieces, chocolate-covered strawberries, and chocolate chips.

Cookies and Cream: If you like cookies and milk with cake combined, this might be a good option for you. It starts with a vanilla milk-infused cake and ends with cookies and cream mousse and garnished with whole and crushed cookies.

Berry Celebration: Berry lovers might also love this cake. A vanilla milk-infused cake is enhanced with chantilly whipped topping and strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.

Sprinkle Blast: People partial to rainbow sprinkles might embrace this choice that begins with vanilla milk-infused cake and ends with whipped topping with rainbow sprinkles, rainbow chocolate pieces, and cherries.
