Florida's "Best" Chicken Joint, Chicken Fire, Serves Hot Chicken and Sometimes Offers BOGOs

If you love fried chicken in Florida, you have multiple choices from different types of restaurants. For example, there are independently owned joints like Mama's Soul Food Restaurant. Or there are popular chains like Chick-fil-A. You can even get fried chicken in Florida's grocery stores like Publix and Winn Dixie. However, none of those options were recently named as Florida's "best" by Yelp. The eatery that was - Chicken Fire - offers fire hot chicken and you can sometimes get BOGOs.

About Chicken Fire: This restaurant was founded in 2019 by owner Kwame Brown. It serves Nashville-style hot chicken which it offers with a "fire scale," allowing customers to choose their own level of heat. Customers can cool down with their selection of milkshakes.

Yelp recently called Chicken Fire Florida's best fried chicken.

Orlando patrons and visitors give Fire Chicken 4.6 out of 5 stars on Google reviews. Many warned to go with mild heat and some said the food was seasoned perfectly. A reviewer named Kathy wrote:

"Wow. First time here, won’t be the last! Food is amazing! Chicken has a good amount of heat & spice coupled with the slaw and sauce on the sandwich. Fries were coated with good seasoning and served hot with a great dipping sauce. First time trying and was advised to only try “meek” heat as each level gets pretty hot. Will definitely be back!"

Is It Reasonably Priced?: According to UberEats' menu, boxes (which include chicken and side items) start at $16.95 and generally average around $20.

However, a quick look at the company's Facebook page reveals that they sometimes offer BOGOs on their boxes.

Chicken Fire is currently located in Orlando on Colonial Drive.
