Florida Getting New Prototype Store Of Chicken Chain With The "Best Fried Chicken Sandwich"

Floridians who love chicken have all sorts of choices. From chains like Chick-fil-A to grocery stores like Publix. But neither of those options was said to have the "best" fried chicken sandwich. Florida is getting a new location of the restaurant that took the honor - a Zaxby's in Starke - and the store is a bit unique in both Florida and the United States.

About Zaxby's: Zaxby's began in the south in the 1990s. It serves chicken of all varieties and it offers plenty of sauces to enhance the experience. Today, there are more than 700 locations throughout the United States and each restaurant is decorated to reflect the community it serves. Florida has around 117 Zaxby's.

Some Floridians enjoy the chain. A reviewer named Mark had this to say about an Orlando location:

"Very good menu here with a good wide variety of choices! Had lunch and had the boneless chicken which was very delicious. Next time I will try their salad as I’ve been told it is very delicious also!! (The) wait staff (was) very knowledgeable and very friendly! Highly recommend this restaurant for lunch or supper or anytime!"

Zaxby's won the 2021 award for "Best Fried Chicken Sandwich" at the annual Fasties sponsored by Thrillist.

The New Florida Store: Florida will be getting a new Zaxby's in Starke Florida on September 30, 2024, at 14065 SE 48th Avenue. The store is unique in that it is one of the first stores in Florida to feature the company's new signage. The store will serve both dine-in and to-go customers.
