Popular Retailer Based On Beachy Lifestyle, Salt Life, Will Close All FL Stores. 40% Off Liquidation

Floridians and visitors to Florida know that if you go to any clothing retailer in the Sunshine State, you'll find apparel that is an homage to living in or enjoying Florida. Many Floridians embrace a casual way of dress that celebrates the outdoors. And one Florida-based brand that celebrates this way of life - Salt Life - will be closing all of its Florida stores. However, Floridians can enjoy current liquidations.

About Salt Life: Salt Life was home-grown in Florida, getting its start from two surfers who had "the salt life" tattooed on their bodies. Those tattoos would turn into logos and the movement would begin in Jacksonville Beach before expanding to 28 stores throughout the nation. The South Florida Sun Sentinel has called the brand "iconic."

Some Floridians and visitors enjoy the stores. A reviewer named Chris had this to say about a Tampa area store:

"We are from the northeast but when down in the Tampa/Clearwater area, we try and stop by for great selection and prices. The employees have always been very pleasant and very helpful."

In June of 2024, Salt's Life parent company, Delta Apparel Inc., was sold via bankruptcy to Iconix International, which plans to focus on e-commerce and wholesale. This new strategy makes brick-and-mortar stores less necessary. So the company will be closing all of its stores, including the following fifteen stores in Florida:

    • 410 Plaza Real, Boca Raton
    • 1100 Cornerstone Blvd #910, Daytona Beach
    • 10676 Emerald Coast Pkwy W Space 136, Destin
    • 10801 Corkscrew Rd. #164, Estero
    • 713-A E Las Olas Blvd, Fort Lauderdale
    • 240 3rd St., Jacksonville Beach
    • 128 Breakwater Ct, Suite 200, Jupiter
    • 404 Duval St., Key West
    • 2312 Grand Cypress Dr. Suite 852, Lutz
    • 8001 S Orange Blossom Trail #252, Orlando
    • 3101 PGA Boulevard Suite P237, Palm Beach Gardens
    • 421 SW 145th Terrace, Pembroke Pines
    • 3405 Pier St, Pompano Beach
    • 16 S Boulevard of the Presidents, Sarasota
    • 2700 FL-16 Suite 713, St. Augustine

The Liquidations: Liquidation sales have begun at all stores, offering 40% off. Gift cards will be accepted until October 20, 2024.
