More Florida Big Lots Stores To Close - Liquidations Offered

If you've lived in Florida over the past year, you may have seen some retailers close their doors. Discount retailers have not been excluded from this. I've written about the Sunshine State losing some Family Dollar locations and a total of 26 Big Lots stores. And now, 3 more Big Lots stores are marked additional stores as "closing this location" along with signage indicating clearance.

What Led To The Store Closures?: In mid-June of 2024, Big Lots admitted "significant doubts" in its ability to go forward as a company. And approximately a month later, Big Lots indicated that it intended to close 35-40 stores.

Shortly thereafter, I reported on the following stores closing and offering liquidations:

    • 21697 State Road 7, Boca Raton
    • 25191 Chamber Of Commerce Dr., Bonita Springs
    • 328 E Sugarland Hwy., Clewiston
    • 4847 Coconut Creek Pkwy., Coconut Creek
    • 34940 Emerald Coast Pkwy., Destin
    • 1761 E Hallandale Beach Blvd., Hallandale
    • 3921 Oakwood Blvd., Hollywood
    • 5580 NW 167th St., Miami Lakes
    • 700 Blanding Blvd., Ste 1, Orange Park
    • 11230 S Orange Blossom Trl., Orlando
    • 1440 Ne 23rd St., Pompano Beach

In August of 2024, I reported on additional stores closing, which meant that Florida would be losing 26 stores, as follows:

Big Lots filed for bankruptcy in early September of 2024 and announced more closures.

Three More Big Lots Closures In Florida: A look at the Big Lots website finds three more stores listed as "closing this location" with liquidations up to 20% off. They are as follows:

    • 4801 Linton Boulevard in Delray Beach
    • 14333 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville Beach
    • 7930 Pines Boulevard, Pembroke Pines

With the closure of the three new stores, Florida will have lost 29 Big Lots Stores.
